What we did:
We introduced each others with a name game including voice and gesture.
Laurence introduced her work showing images and telling about themes and ideas which inspire her.
We all had a piece of a puzzle which we put together to discover a word: IDENTITY- We discussed identity as something that is made of all that we are, our personality, our friends, family, our feelings...
Laurence gave us each gift bag with a sketchbook , pencil, a picture frame/view finder to decorate, a small notebook to jot down ideas, an envelope with a form and questions to answer at start of project.
The bags were unfinished as it is up to us to finish them;
as J. said, there were "No String attached".
We platted, twisted and threaded coloured strings to help carry and close the bags.
This was our first challenge(our DARE)
